Dutch-born, Madrid-based, Boris Schipper crafts compound worlds by fusing underground sub-culture, fashion, movement and music. A product of the 90´s queer club scene and the renowned Gerrit Rietveld Academy, he found his passion for extraordinary beauty by working amongst the avant-garde, experimenting with outrageous outfits and make-up on himself and his friends.
These years of professional nightlife experience, in an atmosphere that united the widest range of people society had to offer, helped shape his mindset and inspired his boundary-pushing approach combining luxury aesthetics and street culture.
Schipper later worked as creative director for several fashion labels in Belgium, presenting his collections in Paris and Barcelona, by invitation from the Flanders Fashion Institute and 080 Barcelona

Working as a photographer, director and creative director for commercials, music videos and artists, his list of collaborations include Lenny Kravitz, Beyoncé, Praga Khan and Kate Ryan among others, and international brands like l´Oreal, MAC, Chanel, Kawasaki and Perrier.
His work was published in several international editions of Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, l´Officiel, Another magazine to name a few, and selected for Brooklyn International Film Festival and Paris Fashion Week.

In 2022 he wrote, co-produced and directed the 21 min fashion short film ´LIKE ME´, featuring Alexandra Masangkay, Patricia Villalón-Robles and Julieta Toribio. This conceptual dark tale of terror about the sinister connection between three women, offers us a profound reflection on the world of image and the illusion of reality.

The same year he wrote, co-produced and directed the 12 min short film ‘Y TÚ QUE TAL´, featuring Mónica Bardem and Piero Méndez, about the perceived contrast between youth and the elderly and the problem of loneliness. ‘Y TÚ QUÉ TAL’ is planned to be released early 2024.

He is currently working on his photography book ´l´Appel du vide´, an exploration of the uncontrollable and intrusive idea of self-destruction and the of the loss of power over the own will and developing high concept content for TV.

Apparently we had reached a great height in the atmosphere, for the sky was a dead black, and the stars had ceased.
